An introduction to Ashtanga Yoga.

The word ‘Ashtanga’ can also be translated to the term ‘8 limbs’; this meaning that the practice of ‘Ashtanga Yoga’ shines a light on 8 different elements.

As well as the physical practice, attention is shone upon areas such as breathing techniques, cultivating awareness, concentration and meditation.

Beginning with pranayama (breathing exercises) preparing our body for our physical practice. Then introducing the Ashtanga yoga postures and sequence to gently guide prana (energy) throughout the body.

Finishing with rest, relaxation and meditation.

Working with not only the physical body, but also our emotional, mental and energetic bodies.

Suitable for the absolute beginner and those whom have not practiced yoga before.

Suitable for those with experience and looking to dive deeper into the traditional aspect of Ashtanga Yoga and the eight limbs.
